As products, cosmetics are probably as old as humanity! The preparation of these substances, designed to come into contact with various superficial parts of the human body, requires the utmost care.
Irrespective of the form (creams, gels, emulsions, etc.), cosmetics generally have the same structure: one or more active substances, an excipient (or neutral medium) and additives (adjuvants). A cosmetic product may contain up to twenty or so liquid based ingredients, selected from over 8,000 referenced cosmetic ingredients.
The requirements of this industry are often close to those encountered in the pharmaceutical or food processing industries.
MARLLIN® integrates solutions tailored to all cosmetic processes involving low-viscosity liquids. For example, the emulsion of an active principal will enable it to be encapsulated in a neutral medium thanks to an emulsifier consisting of a rotor/stator.
